Langdon Pumas YFC was founded in 2008 by ex West Ham and Charlton football player Steve Jones and his wife Tina.

Steve & Tina's children Bradley & Lavinia were playing for a local football club and Steve & Tina felt the results, league position and future prospects were not what they were looking for.

With Steve's years of experience as a processional football player where he was trained to the highest standards by top coaches, Tina & Steve thought the only viable solution was for them to start up their own club to pass on all Steve's experience.

To help launch the club many friends and family members provided their time and expertise.  Steve carried on with team development and started with Lavinia and Bradley. He also had the nucleus of the team including Riley Chapman, Ryan Barton & Jake Barnard.  Steve added Ezra Stratford, Sonny Jones and Kyle Rump to the squad.

Langdon Pumas first experience of competition came when they played in an 8 team tournament held at Lincewood Primary School.  The Pumas lost in the final (in extra time) and Steve was very proud of the team but being a true competitor was disappointed not to win the competition.  However, this result indicated what could be possible in the future.

The first season results were excellent with the Pumas under 9’s finishing 2nd in the league, gaining promotion to the Premier League, along with a good run in the cup.  In the second season, the Pumas were champions in the Under 10's (both Team 1 and Team 2) and Under 13's and were runners up in the Under 9's.  We also enjoyed cup success with the Under 10's Team 1 winning the League Cup.

Success has continued for the Pumas is various ages groups and competitions.  Please click on the honours page to see what Langdon Pumas has achieved since 2008.  The club continues to grow and with our new ground at Dunton, the future is even more exciting for the Pumas.

We look forward to welcoming you to the club.
